Genesis 1–2, Matthew 1

In the beginning, God spoke—and light broke through darkness. He formed the heavens, the earth, and every living thing with purpose and care. Then He made man and woman in His image, setting them apart to reflect His glory and walk with Him. From the start, life was meant to be lived in close relationship with the Creator.

God planted a garden and placed the man there, not to wander aimlessly but to work, rest, and worship in harmony with His design. Even in paradise, it wasn’t good for man to be alone. God gave the gift of relationship—first with Himself, then with each other. This is the rhythm we were made for.

Generations later, the same God stepped into the story. “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus...” (Matthew 1:21). Creation had fallen, but God was not finished. Through Jesus, He came to redeem what was lost, restore what was broken, and bring us back into that original fellowship—God with us.
